Timken's Expansion of High Performance Self-aligning Roller Bearing Product Line

2019-09-02 11:37:05

SHANGHAI, CHINA, April 28, 2015 - Timken Co., Ltd. recently launched a medium-sized high-performance Timken self-aligning roller bearing product to the global market in the hope of bringing about a technological change. The product of this size section series can provide two choices of steel and copper cages.            As an increasingly important part of our core product line, self-aligning roller bearings have become more and more popular with customers. Now customers can choose steel and copper cages in a wider range of sizes. Timken's president of China, Mr. Shi Bosheng, said.            Self-aligning roller bearings are widely used in industrial processing equipment, such as continuous casters, crushers, vibration screens, excavators and conveyors. In order to help customers select Timken < self-aligning roller bearings, Timken provides two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional model downloads of related products on its official English website l to help customers demonstrate products or import them directly into the CAD system. The company's official website can also download a catalogue of the types of bearings and related accessories, including comprehensive product information.            Lower operating temperature and longer service life            In the design process of high-performance self-aligning roller bearing products, Timken Engineering Team endowed the product with many new features, which effectively prolonged the product life. If the product does not use the traditional central guide ring, but through the inner ring to guide the cage, thereby eliminating the friction between the roller and the central guide ring. The actual test shows that the running temperature of Timken high performance self-aligning roller bearings is 5_C lower than that of similar products on average.            Tests also show that the elimination of the central guide ring design can also reduce the torque by 4%. The absence of a guide ring means less friction, which reduces the energy consumption of the bearing and leads to an effective increase in operating efficiency. These design features prolong the life of bearings and achieve Timken high performance self-aligning roller bearings with the following advantages:            · Reduce wear - Reduce internal stress and optimize load distribution through improved modification to help reduce bearing wear.            · Higher load-bearing capacity - longer roller size brings greater load-bearing surface, so that our customers can cope with higher load requirements.            · Lower operating temperature - By improving the surface roughness, the bearing can better form lubricating oil film in operation, avoid direct contact between metal and metal, thus reducing the operating temperature of the bearing.            · Running more durable - hardened steel cage can provide higher fatigue strength, enhance wear resistance, provide more solid protection for impact and acceleration conditions, which will help the bearing run more durable.            For more information on the high-performance Timken self-aligning roller bearing product line, please visit            About Timken Company            Timken develops, manufactures and markets bearings, transmission devices, gearboxes, chains and related products, while providing a variety of power system transformation and maintenance services.
